Patient
Financial Services
Emergency air transport can be a traumatic
event in a patient’s life. We work hard to minimize
the financial stress as much as possible. In many cases the
patient’s insurance will cover much of the cost of
air medical services. Our patient financial services staff
works closely with patients individually to help them make
payment
arrangements
that are reasonable and fair, including not charging interest
on unpaid balances.
Airlift Northwest transport rates vary, depending on a number
of factors, including whether the flight is scheduled or
emergent and the distance traveled. Reimbursement rates may
also vary depending on how the patient’s insurer defines “closest
available facility.”
When air medical services are needed,
contact the 24-Hour ComCenter directly with any questions
you may have
about arrival
times or rates. The ComCenter is staffed
24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be reached by calling
800-426-2430
(US & Canada). We find that calling Airlift
Northwest directly helps avoid confusion for patients and
staff.
