Stephen P. Zieniewicz
Executive Director, University of Washington Medical Center

Stephen P. Zieniewicz is the executive director for UW Medical Center. He provides executive leadership for the hospital and serves as a member of the senior leadership team for UW Medicine.

Zieniewicz served as chief operating officer at Saint Louis University Hospital and Tenet Healthcare Corp. since 2004.

Prior to working at Saint Louis University Hospital, Zieniewicz worked in the Winthrop South Nassau University Health System on Long Island, N.Y., serving as the vice president for support and ancillary services at South Nassau Hospital.

Zieniewicz holds a master's degree in public health from the Columbia University School of Public Health in New York and a bachelor's degree in biology from St. John's University in New York.

He was also an adjunct assistant professor of health management and policy at Saint Louis University School of Public Health and is a board-certified health care executive as a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

He has also served as chairman for the Statewide Disaster Preparedness Committee of the Missouri Department of Health, Division of Health and Senior Services.
