George A. (Tony) Woodward, MD, MBA, is Medical Director
of the Emergency Department at Seattle Children’s
Hospital, Chief of the Division of Emergency Medicine,
and Professor of Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics
at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
He is also Medical Director for Transport Medicine
at Seattle Children’s.
Dr. Woodward received his MD from Temple University
School of Medicine and his MBA from The Wharton School
at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed an
internship and residency at St. Christopher’s
Hospital for Children in Philadelphia and a fellowship
in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Children’s
Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). He has held faculty
positions at CHOP and the University of Pennsylvania
School of Medicine in Philadelphia as well as at Primary
Children’s Medical Center and the University
of Utah in Salt Lake City. Dr. Woodward is a member
of the Children’s University Medical Group Board
of Directors. He has been awarded the Norcliffe Foundation
Endowed Chair in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and has
been elected as member of the American Pediatric Society.
Dr. Woodward’s specialty and board certifications
include Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
He has authored numerous publications and holds several
editorial positions.
